The issue may have been fixed in the latest macOS beta, at least according to one poster, but that’s not been confirmed. ![]() Unsurprisingly, there’s plenty of speculation about the cause, and some are complaining about audio drivers, with others pointing the finger of blame at the T2 chip (which handles various security duties, camera access and more, but has an audio controller too).Īpple hasn’t made any official response yet, but word on the grapevine is that the firm’s engineers are looking into the matter. Obviously this isn’t a problem which will affect every model – or we’d have heard a lot more about it already – but it does appear to be plaguing some MacBook Pro 2018 notebooks. Note that we didn’t have any issues with the speakers in our reviews of the latest MacBook Pros, and they behaved themselves perfectly.
